Welcome to the Sanilac County Humane Society Website.
We're glad you're here. The Sanilac County Humane Society is online and here to provide you with a place to search for and adopt a new best friend and keep you posted on upcoming events as well as new developments at the shelter. SCHS is a private non-profit humane agency caring for more than 1,200 animals each year and relies solely on private donations. We are an open admission shelter with no time limit on hope. The Sanilac County Humane Society is much more than a shelter...it is a shelter with unconditional love just waiting for you.

This little girl is looking for a very special person to give her a forever home. She came in as a stray, but sadly she lives in her own dark little world of mass confusion. She is blind. We don't believe she has been blind for very long, as she doesn't seem to have acclimated to not having her sight. She is such a super sweet girl though. I'm sure she will find the perfect forever home before long.

I love my Kuranda Dog Bed!
By ordering a Kuranda Dog Bed through our link, we receive a part of the proceeds from each sale. Also, you can purchase and donate a Kuranda Dog Bed to our shelter directly through this link. Please take look at this product. We have used them here at the shelter for the past several years and they hold up and clean up very well. They prevent the dogs from having to lay on the hard floor to sleep. All of our shelter dogs seem to love them.
